Reality Ravings Wants Your Feedback

I have decided to give Reality Ravings a bit of a razzle as it has been a few years since the layout has been refreshed.

I would appreciate if you could tell me what you do and don’t like about the layout. What things irritate you about the design, and if you find it easy to navigate.

I would also like to know if you there are any features you would like added or taken away.

Obviously I have a few ideas of my own but would really like you the reader likes and dislikes. You can also post links in the comment box of sites you like the look of and/or find easy to use.

Thanks for your input and don’t expect the changes to occur instantly.

Reality Ravings Vlog – Big Brother Auditions

After many discussions with my intern Anthony (@AM_092) about Big Brother we decided to produce a Vlog talking about the auditions and what we liked about the old show and what we want to see on the show this year.

Big Brother Australia is currently on a house mate hunt in other words auditioning for the show.  For more details go to the official website here.

We may do more vlogs or we may not – so please tell us if you like them or even if you don’t.

What Do You Do When You Meet Someone Who You Have Slagged Off?

Long time readers of this blog know that I do like a bit of snark, but when I started I was probably a bit more caustic.

Earlier in the week I launched Reality Ravings Consulting (read about it here) and it generated a fair bit of publicity. A Current Affair wanted to do a story and the producer who rang me after a quick chat said “Oh I was on So You Think You Can Dance and you criticised my dress”. Oops.

Anyway props to her she doesn’t hold grudges so did not bitch slap me. Anyhow I searched through my blog and read what I had written, she was like my Season 1 whipping person, well after Matt Lee, on SYTYCD….

So big apologies Stephanie. And for the record she is much hotter and together then I ever was in my early twenties.

Anyway here is a link to the interview on A Current Affair. Props to the delightful Marion Grasby for backing in my consultancy.  Next time I am at Woolworths I will buy Ms Marion’s thai goods as a thank you.

Polly from The Block and now Celebrity Apprentice I think misunderstood what it is all about. It is not about faking it but ensuring people are presented in the best possible light. As I have said people pay professionals to write their CV’s to ensure theirs stands out and they get an interview for a job. I see my service as being similar to that.

The Morning Show – Epic Reality TV Moments

Here is the story I did on The Morning Show on 7 today, it was discussing reality TV’s epic moments. The story was based on Times 32 Memorable TV moments, I was surprised the Sarah Murdoch announcing the wrong winner on last year’s Australia’s Next Top Model did not make the list.

The Morning Show – Scripted Reality TV Shows

Kristen Cavilleri from The Hills may have thought it was a revelation when she announced that The Hills “reality show” was scripted, but I think for most savvy viewers knew that this was the case.
Above is the segment from The Morning Show on Seven where semi-scripted reality TV was discussed.
Should people feel duped? I don’t think so, if you don’t like it just turn it off.
Designer Bruno Schiavi was also on the couch and he has some serious reality TV credibility, as he has been on the Kardashian’s TV show, and he also is collaborating on a shoe and apparel collection.
He told me the episode was on E this week, and it is on repeats. I certainly will be checking it out.
