We had the stories leading up to the “wedding of the year”, that is Jennifer and Jake Wall’s wedding. Now we have the drama about the story about the wedding and the magazine deal.
First there was the story that Woman’s Day had paid big bucks for an exclusive deal of the Balinese wedding. Then there was the story they were going to print early for a Friday sale to make sure they are not gazumped by New Idea who had helicopter taking distant shots.
Now today there is now the news the bar code was forgotten to be put on the cover so service stations and supermarkets would not be able to scan it and this meant some regional areas it would not be on sale until the Monday anyway.
Who needs Paper Giants when you have this real life drama playing out in 2013.

There appears to be friction between Myer’s and Jennifer Hawkin’s management resulting in Jennifer Hawkins being dumped from the high profile Myer’s G’Day USA event.
The Daily Telegraph reports:
She will now not make the trip and her Cozi label has been dropped from the show.
Jessica Hart, one of Myer’s stable of fashion ambassadors, will replace Hawkins and represent the retail giant at the event.
Myer menswear ambassador Kris Smith will still attend the event.
Myer CEO Bernie Brookes said the shock decision was the “culmination of a number of issues” between the Myer team and Hawkins’ manager Sean Anderson.
Sean Anderson responded by saying:
“This is a personal issue that the head of Myer PR has with me which I’m trying to sort out with Myer privately,” he said.
The article goes onto say Myers were increasingly frustrated by restrictions and constraints placed by her management on what Hawkins would and would not do in her role with Myer and the lack of awareness of her other deals.
I would be interested to know what Jennifer is thinking about all this. She is extremely popular and won’t want anything tarnishing her nice girl image. Her contract with Channel 7 ended this year where she had an up and down time with the Make Me A Supermodel not being renewed after its first season.

Former Australian Idol co-host Ricki-Lee Coulter has spoken out about the controversial Marie Claire cover of Jennifer Hawkins. You know the one where Jennifer was not photoshopped, but still looked flawless.
The article said:
While remaining complimentary of Hawkins, Coulter said that there was “a big divide” between the model and the average Australian woman.
“Jen looks beautiful on the cover and I applaud any woman who is appeared to appear in print without airbrushing.
But I love the photo of Bianca Dye that shows her sexy killer curves. I think a lot of women will look at her and think this is what a real woman looks like.”
Coulter also said that while being in the spotlight as a size 14 woman can be challenging, she loves her “hourglass figure”.
“I love my body because it’s what I’ve been given. Being too thin is just as unhealthy as being obese.”
And I would have to agree with her, and for the record Ricki-Lee’s photos for the Woman’s Day shoot were untouched.

Now we know judge Martin Walsh’s view on the final three. Click here if you don’t, but now in TV Week Jennifer Hawkins has revealed her thoughts on the final three models fighting it out for the title on Make Me A Supermodel.
On Rhys she says:
“Rhys has got a chiselled face and small features and everybody loves him – he is a nice guy to be around. He looks like David Beckham and the young girls love him, so he’s in with a good chance. Rhys is becoming a great model – he’s grown a lot in the competition. His lack of confidence is probably his only downfall. He can go into his shell a bit at photo shoots and doubt himself. But I guess that confidence comes with practice and experience. We’ll see how that goes.”
Her favourite photo shoot was when he was in the water tank with the snake.
On Shanina she says:
I met Shanina at her first audition and I liked her look straightaway. She has a different look, her eyes are absolutely beautiful and she’s a nice girl, too. At the start we were worried that she didn’t have any versatility but I think she’s doing really well now. It’s hard to pick a negative because at this stage, with all three, it’s just nitpicking. But maybe the ‘cheating scandal’ from last week could factor into the audience’s decision to vote or not vote for her.”
Jen’s favourite moment was the tango photo’s with Issac.
On Courtney she says:
Courtney has a really unique look, plus she’s a nice girl as well. Probably the only downfall with Courtney is that she can look too sweet and cheeky on shoots – she really needs to bring a little bit of sexiness to the set as well. But over the last few weeks, she’s learned how to bring that out a bit more. Courtney’s a gorgeous girl and a lot of people have a very unique look now when they’re doing catwalk overseas, so I think she’s got a good future ahead of her.
Jen’s favourite Courtney moment was the outside gothic shoot.

Darren Hayes Disappointed With His Idol Pick Sophie Patterson.
Darren Hayes who will be mentoring the Australian Idol’s this Sunday where the performers will have to sing Australian hits. What are the chances Luke Dickens will do a Barnesy number? However in an interview he said Sophie had become too ‘slick’. Hayes had been at the London audition where she was found.
Personally I think Sophie is trying to be sexy when she is not. I don’t get why Dicko goes the whole Bridgette Bardot route with her. She needs to go back to be a bit more the folk singer like Brooke White was in this years American Idol.
Hayes says he is impressed with Roshani Priddis and Wes Carr. Full interview on News.com.au

For the truly Obsessed US So You Think You Can Dance Fan
Yes I am one of them. Here is an excerpt from the LA Times about them hanging out at the post Emmy party.
The “American Idol” / “So You Think You Can Dance” table was in a festive
mood despite “Amazing Race’s” continued dominance of the reality television
category. “Idol” / “Dance” overlord Nigel Lythgoe reported that he used his
first few moments without a show on the air this year to launch the dance show
franchise in South Africa. Telling of his travels, he marveled about that
Across the table, “SYTYCD” judge Mary Murphy was asked if the
party rates a ticket on the Hot Tamale Train (her highest level of praise on the
show).”Oh, no,” she drawled in a deep Southern pitch, “You can’t get a ticket on
the Hot Tamale Train if there’s no dancing.” She gazed out forlornly at the
empty patch of dance floor in front of the bandstand. So why are these things
called balls if there’s never any dancing? “Maybe because there are so many more
losers than winners,” she said.”A party with Mary Murphy is a scream!” Lythgoe
said from across the table, referring to his colleague’s penchant for
full-volumed praise on the show.
But Murphy didn’t take the bait; no piercing trademark shout came forth to crack the chandeliers across the ballroom.Making his way out of the party, Ryan Seacrest stopped by to greet his “Idol” family.
The famously early-to-bed, multiple-job-holding hosting titan is out awfully
late, maybe his latest ever? “Well, let’s see,” he said, looking at his watch,
“the big hand is on the 2 and the little hand is on the, what’s that number?
I’ve never seen that before, 1 and 0 . . .” He looked up and gazed around the
room. “So this is what normal people do at night . . . I’ve got to try this
