Top Model Contestant Storms Off Set and Makes Physical Threats Against Judge + My Top Ten Reality TV Tantrums & Meltdowns!

A contestant on America’s Next Top Model‘s current cycle has left the competition after throwing a fit on set while standing in front of the show’s judging panel. It’s not surprising, as she flipped out earlier in the competition when she didn’t respond well to a makeover.

British-born Louise Watts, 25, ran off the set after hearing criticisms of her photos from the judges and threw a tantrum outside the building and requested to leave the show immediately. She even made a physical threat against guest-judge, publicist Kelly Cutrone, who was involved in that week’s photoshoot.

It’s definitely something you want to see for yourself, so check out the video below:

Surely, some contestants would be cheering inside, with a fellow model out of the running for the Top Model title!

Did you think that was great flip out? Check out my Top Ten Reality TV Tantrums and Meltdowns below! Some real shockers in this list. Reality television is amazing.

10. Nilka getting fired by chef Gordon Ramsay on Hell’s Kitchen (US)

It’s not a massive outburst from aspiring cook Nilka, but you really feel for her when she begs to come back into the kitchen. Of course, Ramsay says no again and again. And she’s eventually kicked off the show. You can’t make judgements about her cooking just based on this clip, but you do feel her passion, and seeing her leave was a real downer. Something nice does happen in the end though!

09. Water throwing  tantrum on The X Factor (UK) – but is it too over-the-top?

This one is almost too theatrical for me to take it seriously, but let’s give ‘em the benefit of the doubt that it’s not a set-up! It’s really fun to watch the drama unfold and how judges Sharon, Louis and Simon react! I must admit it is a shame that we don’t get to see the contestant sing in this video. Please take note of the dramatic music, which definitely adds to the comical nature of it all!

08. Wanna count the number of f*cken beeps coming out of this contestant’s mouth? Again, from The X Factor (UK)

Judge Simon Cowell described auditionee Rachel as one of the rudest, deluded and untalented people ever to grace his competition. You can feel the delusion when she admits to being bigger and better than Madonna. It doesn’t get physical, but it sure does get verbal! She definitely has attitude. Talent? Less so.

07. Joan Rivers and her daughter Melissa throwing a double-tantrum on The Celebrity Apprentice (US)

Joans Rivers sure is a piece of work! And she sure has a thing against poker players! After daughter Melissa is eliminated, Joan has a go at the two responsible contestants. Melissa is even more pissed off as she grabs her things and leaves the building immediately with her mother. Don’t miss this one!

06. Farmer Dave threatens to leave Big Brother (Australia) after an argument with intruder Perry

Having been accused of playing the game, Dave gets into a hissy fit and threatens to walk out of the reality show to prove that he isn’t in it for the money. There isn’t any wall punching, but you can tell he is really upset and angry. Of course, he doesn’t go through with the promise and stays in for a few more weeks until he finishes fourth.

05. Thirteen year-old Rachel Crow has a serious meltdown on The X Factor USA

OK, so this is where it starts to get crazy! After hearing that she’d been eliminated from the competition, Rachel drops to the ground and starts screaming and sobbing uncontrollably! She’s inconsolable, but it does make for fantastic television! This could only happen on reality TV! It’s a real moment caught on tape. She’s clearly distraught. And judge Nicole Scherzinger feels the impact too.

04. Tyra Banks goes apeshit on contestant - America’s Next Top Model

Sure, you get lots of crazy contestants on reality programs, but here, you see the tables turned with host and judge Tyra Banks really having a go at one of the modelling hopefuls! She’s been known for being outrageous at times, but this is really a shocking moment! You might feel sorry for the girl getting yelled at and I question if it was necessary for Tyra to speak to a contestant like that. You judge for yourself!

03. Gretel Killeen losing all professionalism while interviewing evictee Michael McCoy - Big Brother (Australia)

This interview has since been labelled ‘The Gretel Incident’. The way Killeen treats Michael in this video is absolutely horrendous. In a heated discussion about the editing of the show, she becomes extremely defensive and hostile towards her interviewee. It’s all centred on Michael’s perception that he was being portrayed as having been intimate with openly gay contestant, Dave. Michael claims that footage of him speaking with Dave seems to suggest that the pair may be kissing. And Killeen is quick to brush of these allegations in the most unprofessional way.

She’s the host of the show and her behaviour, in my opinion, was completely unacceptable! She paid no respect to the evictee, who was actually calm, polite and respectful towards her throughout the whole ordeal. I shook my head when this was going live to air, and I’m still shaking my head now watching it on YouTube:

02. Contestant Tarisai Vushe shows her true colours backstage and has a real go at judge Mark Holden - Australian Idol

This outburst is one of the few that I remember clearly in my mind, despite having only watched it on air once. And the reason is simply because of how brilliant it was to see a contestant really take a verbal swing at a judge! It all started on stage, with Tarisai receiving generally negative reviews for a performance that was suppose to show the angry and ‘true’ side of her personality.

In the weeks leading up to this, she had been accused of being fake and little support was given to her by the judges. And then on performance night, she is panned by all of them and especially Mark, who admits that he thinks she isn’t showing her true colours. You should watch how she reacts when Mark comes backstage to see how she’s doing. And she really lets it rip! The footage was shown during the results show, and you can hear the crowd cheering her on. It was definitely a great moment in Aussie reality television!

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to save Tarisai from being eliminated that night, as she finished fifth overall in the competition. Her singing career doesn’t seem to have hit off, with a short appearance on The X Factor Australia last year, where she was quickly booted off after meeting the four judges.

01. A near punch-up in an extremely heated argument between Bianca, Renee and Alice about Bianca’s body - Big Brother(Australia)

Here’s my number one! It’s a really tense scene, with a real ugly atmosphere. Things were absolutely uneasy in the Kombi van that night with the discussion being a possible breast reduction for Bianca. The chat is mostly between Renee and Alice going up against Bianca about the issues of having large breasts. And everybody gets defensive. It’s really hard to watch at times, especially knowing how it all ends. It’s gets real ugly!

I personally am on Bianca’s side because it is her body and regardless of how the discussion has progressed during that short time, I think Bianca was right to feel ganged up on. But then again, if you watched the last season of Big Brother, you definitely know how short her temper is! She gets fired up really easily and things could have really gone pear-shaped here.

I picked this as the top tantrum/meltdown because it’s centred on a really sensitive issue and the way the tension grew was really unpredictable. And when you watch this, especially when it was on air, you don’t know what could happen. That’s what’s special about reality television. You just don’t know what’s going to happen! It’s not scripted. It’s real. And it’s about real people and real emotions. If Big Brother is coming back for good, then I hope we’ll get to see more of these shocking, unreserved moments.

I hope you all enjoyed these videos! Tell me what you think of them. Which ones really shocked you? And what are some of your Top Reality TV Tantrums and Meltdowns?

Two Reality Babes In Town At The Same Time. Can You Cope?

Good news for the male reality TV fan with news Kendra Wilkinson is in town promoting the fourth series of her show. Personally I don’t think the show about her everyday life is that engaging, the former playboy bunny does appear to be quite sweet.

A cocktail party was held in her honour Monday night in Sydney.

The other person in town is the thinking man’s babe and host of So You Think You Can Dance, Cat Deeley. She is in town to spruik a Playstation 3 game, and guys she is single. She recent broke up with boyfriend Michael McMillian. (Source: Daily Telegraph)

Johnathan and Victoria From The Amazing Race Have a Daughter – Can Someone Call Community Services.

Now regular readers of this column might know I have an unhealthy obsession with Johnathan and Victoria from Season 6 of The Amazing Race. Remember the scene where Johnathan nearly hit Victoria at the pit stop in Berlin? Vile, vile, vile. Anyway they have continued living off their notoriety doing reality TV related stuff, but also they have had a daughter. How many ways are they going to screw that girl up? She is already doing commercials. She is very cute. Go to the Johnathan and Victoria website http://www.jonathanbakerandvictoriafuller.com//

Also MSNBC have an interview from 2005 where Johnathan and Victoria talk about their time on the race. “I never was going to hit her”. It is a great read as he tries and justifies his behaviour.

For Cat Deeley Fans Only

Here is a nice brief interview with Cat Deeley. Cat is the fabulous host of America’s So You Think You Can Dance, she also has quite a few fans in Australia as well.

Maybe they should bring her out as a guest judge for Australia’s So You Think You Can Dance, give her a chance to get on the other side of the table, and visit her brother.

So You Think You Can Dance – The Finale

The final episode of So You Think You Can Dance Season was upon us only about 3 months after America but I was still pretty excited.

Some issues still need to be resolved:
How many hair dos did Nigel Lythgoe have over the past three months?
How many tubes of peroxide have gone on judges and contestants teeth?
Is Cat Deeley sponsored by a fake tan product?
Which of the dancers got it on during the show and whilst on tour?
Lastly who won????

The show started off with the Cat Deeley revealing there had been a whopping 16 million votes cast to decide the winner. Somebody was going to make a lot of money out of that.

All the regular judges were sitting in line on a big panel Mia Micheals, Shane Sparks, Wade Robson, Dan Karaty, and of course Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe.

Dan and Wade must of come to a truce regarding Wade’s peace dances as they were seated together. I was disappointed Adam Shankman did not get to sit up there as I thought he had been a great guest judge with his camp bitchy wit, crossed with his indepth dance knowledge.

But first Cat Deely’s dress. A friend, site contributor and style arbiter sms me horrified and described Cat’s dress as a toilet brush. I agreed, but also thought it could have been a cross between a kewpie doll, and one of those dolls that sits on top of the toilet to hide the toilet paper in. These are getting harder and harder to find, and will only be available from all good retro antique stores soon.

I am surprised this fashion tragedy did not make it on to the Go Fug Yourself Site for a caning.

I did like the butterfly’s in her hair, I wonder where you can get those from.

Nigel solved the mystery of the blonde girl Clare Callaway from Season 2 who hurt her ankle in Las Vegas, and at the time was told she could come back this year straight to Vegas. She was a 18 year old from the South. Apparently whilst recuperating she managed to get herself knocked up. When the doctor said keep your weight off your feet I don’t think that was what he meant. That injury was certainly life changing for her.

She had been one of my favourites from Season 2 so I was a tad disappointed, maybe she can make it next year.

Tonight each judge/choreographer got to nominate their favourite routine, which was then danced again.

Mary Murphy nominated the Shane Sparks transformer number danced by Lauren and Pasha. The opening robotic work was definitely the highlight. And boy it was great to see Pasha again.

They received a standing ovation – it was then I noticed how short Shane Sparks was, he came up to Mia Michaels waist. I noticed he did not stand much after that. The other shorty was Dan Karaty another hip hop dancer. So maybe you have to be vertically challenged to be a good breaker/ hiphop dancer.

Next was Brendan Norris the clogger from the auditions. He was great even though I am still not sure what clogging his Wiki soon sorted me out apparently it is some type of hill-billy tap dancing.

I wonder if the Mardi Gras Festival will bring him out, as well as the male belly dancer I spotted in the auditions.

Next up was Nigel’s choice, and he picked Wade Robson’s humming bird and flower piece danced by Hok and Jaime. Was this Nigel’s way of attoning for his sins last week, when he told Wade he did not particularly like his fox routine with Sabra and Lacey.

The hummingbird piece was delightful, and showed the strengths of the two dancers.

Jean-Marc then picked the Shane Sparks routine with Dominic and Sabra, it is two young lovers. I liked this more on the second viewing. Also noticed the chemistry between the two which helped with the dancing. I hoped Dominic has finally got a girlfriend and stopped stalking Cat.

Adam Shankman choice the Sara and Neil number to Knock on Wood. He said this validated disco as a dance genre (oh yeah love it). The contestants on this weeks episode Dancing With The Stars could have taken some tips from this routine.

As Adam Shankman said “Sara had her Cinderella moment”. I love that phrase.

Bran(Sic) Gaynor the guy who had scoliosis did a routine. He was very very good. If Star Wars ever turns into a Broadway musical he would be great as CP30.

At the audition Shane Sparks had offered him a movie role, Cat put Shane on the spot tonight about it. It was obvious from the look on Shane’s face that he had done bugger all about it. He was now going to “introduce him around”

Wade Robson’s favourite piece was last year’s contestant Dimitri choreographed Samba routine with Lacey and Danny. Even on a second viewing it just sizzled. Hopefully it will turn up in the next James Bond film.

Lacey was then eliminated. The Schwimmer family cheered in the audience. What are they going to do next season is there another sibling who can audition?

Then a Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger came out and sung in ridiculously high heels with a cyclonic wind machine going. I was amazed she could dance. I thought she might have a Naomi Campbell type moment and fall over. If you need to see the Naomi fall the link is here

Shane Sparks nominated the Benji Schwimmer West Coast Swing number as his favourite, with Sara and Pasha. It was so high energy, it was one of my faves of the season.

Tyce D’Orio nominated the Jean-Marc Fox trot with Anya and Danny, which I barely remembered it from the first time.

Tony Meredith picked the Wade Robson routine where Sara & Jesus danced. Sara must have been stoke being in three of the final episodes routines. It was a great compliment.

Mia Michaels picked the Mandy Moore jazz table dance routine with Neil and Sabra. It was still sexy this time around. It was one of my favourites.

I noticed Cat gave Neil a mauling after he was eliminated. They were now down to their final two.

But still more dances. After the Mia Micheals group dance the moment we had been waiting for the much promoted Cat Deeley and Nigel dance.

What a freaking let down, it was their faces pasted on to some cartoon type dancers doing the mexican three step or something like that. I did not really see the point of it except as an opportunity for Nigel to promote his friends business.

Ok I have to admit I was really excited about seeing the both of them dance, so I felt really let down.

Next up was Ryan Caberra who is he?? That was very yawn inducing.

Then Dan Karaty picked the Mia Michaels piece based on a father and daughter meeting in the after life. This routine really improved for me on the second viewing. The cameras did not pan across to see if Mary was sobbing again.

Then the winner was announced Sabra had won the $250,000. Then Channel 10 just ended it. I wonder if that was how it ended in the US? I would have thought they would let Sabra make a speech or something, or show highlights from the show, as Lacey and Neill got.

Anyway great result, all the top four were fabulous. I must admit I was hoping Neil would win.

At least we don’t have to wait long for the Australian version to commence. It will be on our screens in February.

I hope with the US version next season, that Channel 10 stream it ‘live’ from the States, as it is very frustrating not being able to find out more about the dancers or choreographers because you are fearful you are going to find out the winner.

So You Think You Can Dance – Final 4

It is down to the last episode where people in America were able to vote so we got a 2 hour special a boy it was a cracker.

Cat came flouncing down the stair dressed as a christmas decoration, or was it a young Krystal Carrington from Dynasty.

The judges were Nigel, who was looking a tad tired, probably all the work he has to do on the other shows he works on. Bonnie Lythgoe his estranged wife said he was a workaholic.

Mad Mary Murphy who has been a judge on every single episode this season (clearly they like her) looked great tonight in a light green dress, with a huge
?faux emerald ring.

The final guest judge was Dan Karaty the hip hop choreographer. Now apparently he was the one who complained about Wade Robson’s peace routine (the one where each one did a solo with it), and also I suspect he may have complained about the Mia Michaels marine jacket. Apparently his brother is in the marine corp. So getting to be a judge on the critical episode is the producers peace offering. Article here for the full story

It was interesting to hear that 3 of the 4, Sabra, Danny and Neil all auditioned in New York City.

They did a recap and it was great to see them at the audition process again. There must be some poor junior who has to go through hours of footage to get the scenes where they are standing in the queues waiting to audition.

Tonight they would all dance one routine with the other plus a solo.

First was a group dance a Tyce DiOreo broadway number to Mein Herr from the musical Caberet. It was a cross between a German bordello, and a Moulin Rouge can can. Last year he was one of my favourite choreographers, however he this year I don’t think he has maintained the standard.

Cat interviewed Lacey, it was interesting to hear that Lacey had given up dancing and taken up hairdressing, and it was when her brother Benji Schwimmer(last seasons winner)was on SYTYCD she was inspired to take up dancing again.

She said her high light was dancing the samba, yes I agree it was hot, hot, hot. Her low light, was her solo she forgot the routine, so that explained why it was so lame.

She then did her solo which was average and ended with a very awkward flop where she was caught by members of the audience.

Lacey really annoyed me on tonight’s show, far to much mugging to the camera, and always trying to get herself into the shot. Benji won last year by cultivating the personality on camera so maybe she is copying that strategy. I think it will back fire, she just kept on coming across as a show off.

Sabra and Neil did a Shane Sparks hip-hop routine. Which I thought was very average. The only fun bit was in the rehearsal with Shane’s assistant physically manhandling Neil so he would get the pelvic thrusts right.

Nigel thought Neil “was a little stiff” but he was not saying that in a positive way. Neils fans loved him anyway.

Next was Lacey and Danny with a Viennese Waltz, this was beautiful. Danny I thought was superb it was so smooth.

Cat then interviewed hunky Neil. Apparently he was a gymnast so that explains when he does his flips his clearance is amazing. He said the best was his jazz routine, and worst was the salsa and tango. He said his teeny bopper fans pumped him up before he goes on stage.

Neil’s solos was great flips, and spins.

Next was Sabra and Lacey dancing to a Wade Robson routine. Wade was channelling his inner buddhist during rehearsals. Sometimes I wonder is this guy genuine or is he affected? Anyway I don’t care, because I loved this routine of the mother and baby fox. I was transfixed. However the judges did not like it, Dan was just saying that for payback. But Wade did not look happy for the rest of the episode.

Cat then interviewed Danny. She talked about his adoption and his mother who taught, him and also his brother Travis last seasons runner up to dance. Also Jamie a girl from this season has been taught by her. All are just sublime dancers. As Dan Karaty said at the end of the show “What is in the water at Denise Wall’s studios.” It was great to see her get some recognition. As both her sons are the best dancers I have seen.

Danny thought his best moment was the Samba. He then did his solo which like Neil’s full of pirouettes and flips.

Danny & Neil danced to a Mia Michaels contemporary piece. It was about duelling princes. It was brilliant. How good is this women, I think she must have an overactive imagination. It was like a cross between goth and Shakespeare. Also Neil is the only guy I have ever seen who looked good wearing eyeliner.

Cat and Sabra then had their chat. She was born in The Netherlands into a military family. So it was ironic her favorite piece was the controversial peace routine they all danced choreographed by Wade.

The also showed the footage of Dominic dropping her on her head. Ouch that must have hurt. I thought it was interesting that Dan Karaty had thought Domenic had been the one to carry her. I always thought it was the other way around.

Lacey and Neil then did the Lindy hop. This apparently is very difficulty. The judges gushed over it. I thought it was awkward the whole way through.

Last was Sabra and Danny doing the Cha Cha, this was choreographed by Melanie Le Tartin the lady who had the pleasure of dancing the Cha Cha with the baby licious Pasha in an earlier episode, when his partner was taken to hospital.

This routine was a lot of fun, and a great way to end the show. It was a fusion of latin and disco even including strobe lighting. This will be very advantageous in the voting for the $250,000 first prize money.

Next week is the last episode and Cat let the “Cat” out of the bag by saying her and Nigel will be dancing together on it. Cannot wait.

So You Think You Can Dance – Final 8

In an episode of this fabulous show where it is getting to the business end of proceedings I thought it all a bit disappointing. Probably the dullest dancing of the series thus far. Not sure whether it was the choreographers or the dancers. Maybe the highs from last weeks Samba just weren’t there.

Firstly a couple of things:
1. Hot – Dancing With the Stars boys take note, you can be a ballroom dancer and have chest hair. Pasha you looked hot.
2. Fun – Adam Shankman is so “beeping” gay, and he does not shut up, but I like him.
3. Weird – Adults in the VIP/choreographers area sucking on lollipops, people over 18 (make it 21 over there) should only be allowed to have these confections if they are at a rave. It just looked strange.

Cat again proved she can wear just about anything by wearing a blue number that looked like it had been covered in tinsel. We still saw a bit of last weeks Darling Buds of May outfit when the dancers were pulling what dances they were doing out of the hat. That was tres horrible.

I was wondering why Nigel looked good this week, and realised he was out of his usual dreadful beige and in a nice navy suit. Mary was again his sidekick, and I spent most of the show trying to work out if her boobs were real. They did not move however they could have had about 10 metres on Hollywood tape under that dress.

Adam Shankman director/choreographer was invited back to be guest judge after his lively performance last time. I really like him, however Nigel may not invite him back after he kept on gibbering on and taking Niges air time.

New partners tonight and they were to do two routines together.

First up were Danny and Sara with the Argentine tango. Sara looked great in a pole dancer type way in thigh high boots, the choreography was great, Danny was wonderful, but Sara did not do it for me. She was to stilted. The big moved termed the “human pretzel” felt like she was going to get stuck half way.

The judges however loved the move, and Adam went on to say Danny was the best dancer they have ever had on the show. That is debatable his brother Travis was pretty sensational as well.

Lauren and Domenic were up next Krumping. Now I know this is a new form of dance related to hip hop. As Nigel said it is meant to be 3 steps above it, I just found it a bit dull. Also a few mistakes Lauren fell but covered up, I did not notice that, however towards the end of the routine I thought Domenic had half dropped her in a lift. Maybe it was just a weird krumping move. I don’t think the Aust competitors in our show are gonna like this genre.

Lacey and Neil did a Latin Jazz number. Never heard of it they keep on mixing up the styles soon we will have the rumba tap or contemporary krumping. Neil is a real cutie however the shirt off look did nothing for me. I love both of these dancers, but again it all left me cold. Maybe the judges are right and Lacey looks out at the audience to much. Or maybe it is just the mixing of two types of dances. Certainly no sizzle in it.

Sabra and Pasha did a broadway number. Sabre was great and I barely looked at Pasha, not helped by Sarbre wearing a bright gold number compared to Pasha’s black. This when Pasha started flashing chest hair. So hot. Judges went gaga over routine. I thought good but not great.

Danny and Sara’s second number was hip-hop. It was a Shane Sparks number, and when I heard the opening riffs of Salt and Pepa’s Push It, I was like how good is this going to be. However, it was like a high school talent night complete with bad outfits, all they needed was a dose of acne to complete the picture. The judges also were underwhelmed.

Next Domenic and Lauren did the Rumba. Again forgettable. It seemed to me that Dom went in for the extra pash at the end sans tongue thank God, that would have been really gross. I suppose they had to think of their younger viewers. I think this time it could have been choreography, even though Nigel said they were dumbing down their routines for the contestants.

Also Nigel commented on how hot Lauren looked. I find this ickey when over 45 men perve a 20 year olds. It is the same as Mark Holden when he makes lewd remarks to the 16 year olds in Idol. I always feel like taking a bath to wash the slime off me.

Next Lacey and Neil dancing a Mia Michaels number which was a routine which reflect her dead father and herself meeting up again.

Judges were never going to be able to criticise it, as this is not The Chaser. I did think it was very good, as it did evoke a father with his daughter, however I did not think it was a stratospheric as the judges gushed. Mary clearly had something going on (as Nigel stated) as she cried and cried, with gunk running down and cheeks and nose. Clearly those big boobs of her are not packed with tissues as she had to wait until the ad break to get one.

Last partners dance was Sabre and Pasha with the quickstep. This was nice and bouncy, but it reminded me of their first routine of the night Broadway. This time I did look at Pasha and I thought he was good, as was Sabre as usual, her and Lacey are the strongest of the two girls left.

Next up the elimination show and Cat looked like she was going to a high school prom. How does she walk in those heels?

First up all of them had to do solos in the own dance style. I thought the only girl who stepped up to the plate was Sabre hers was sensational, whereas the others seemed lacklustre.

Whereas all the boys came out firing. Leaps and flips from Neil and Danny, and a bullfighting type no top just a cape routine from Pasha. Domenic had taken his cues from Fred Astaire who once danced with a lampshade, and Gene Kelly who had danced with cartoons, and came out with a plastic chair. I liked it but reminded me a bit of a busking routine at Circular Quay, and the showstopper before I pass the hat around is….. Also I think if you are dancing with a chair it should be a nice eames number not a kmart special.

It was no surprise that Lauren and Sara were in the bottom two with Sara being eliminated. I predict Lauren will go next week. I was surprised Neil was in the bottom two with Domenic. I love Pasha but he is not as good as Neil. Domenic bit the dust and he should be congratulated in getting this far.

I thought it was over the top the way Domenic was clutching on to Cat, and I could not tell whether she wanted to say stop manhandling me. I still think he has the touch of the stalker in him. How many of the female dancers will have to take out AVO’s on him after the show finishes?
