Cassi Van Den Dungen has given an exclusive article to the Australian Woman’s Weekly (out Wednesday) about motherhood.

The Herald Sun (pay wall) reports that her baby Drake was born with a cleft lip and palate. He will need surgery to fix it. She also told the magazine it had also been a tough six months for her and her fiance Brad who is nearly ten years older then her.

Cassi was not paid for the interview as she just wanted to highlight the issue of cleft palate something that effect one in 700 children.

Australia’s Next Top Model runner-up Cassi Van Den Dungen would be eligible to star in Teen Mums with news she gave birth to a baby boy.

Cassi who is 19 years old has had a boy with her boyfriend Saul who is 27.

She posted on Facebook:

“YAY my lil man is now in the world so happy to be able to hold him and kiss him and give him cuddles. he’s so strong already trying to lift his head … god i love him”.

I hope Cassi has a lot of support around her as caring for newborn is a tough gig, and as seen on the show she did get cranky alot.

Expect the baby photos to be in OK Magazine as they managed to get the pregnancy story.

In the most unsurprising news of 2011, controversial Australia’s Next Top Model contestant, Cassi Van Den Dungen is pregnant with her fiance Brad Saul’s child.

Fabulous fashion blog Frockwriter writes Cassi sold the story to OK Mag photos and all.

Frockwriter writes:

One face that we won’t be seeing at next week’s Rosemount Australian Fashion Week is 18 year-old Cassi van den Dungen. That’s because van den Dungen is four months pregnant and is taking a year off from modelling. Although suspicions first arose that something was up several days ago, yesterday’s publication of an interview with van den Dungen and her fiancé Brad Saul in the Australian edition ofOK magazine, announcing the pregnancy, appears to have completely flown under the radar – no doubt due to the Royal wedding media frenzy. Van den Dungen managed to keep her pregnancy a secret at last month’s Melbourne Fashion Festival, where these photos (photos on Frockwriter) were taken. No mean feat, considering how body-hugging some of the garments were.

Controversial former Australia’s Next Top Model contestant, Cassi Van Den Dungen caused controversy on the show with aggressive behaviour but also with news that she was engaged at 16 years of age to Brad Saul, a labourer.

But news in yesterday’s papers says Cassi is NOW engaged. So when is an engagement not an engagement? Apparently when there is no ring. He has just now bought her one and she is now waiting on the big proposal.

Which begs the next question when you buy the ring isn’t that the proposal?

Good new for Next Top Model fans a new series starts on Eleven (the new channel Ten station) on Sunday, and Britain’s Next Top Model starts next Tuesday at 7.30pm on Fox 8.

Controversial Australia Next Top Model runner-up Cassi Van Den Dungen is one of the faces of the Myers Youth Campaign. The Herald Sun states she is currently on a three day shoot with the company shooting the spring/summer catalogue.

She was saying positive things about the company which makes a change from the time she dissed on the French on her Facebook page when she was over there for the shows.

This years series of Australia’s Next Top Model is currently filming and will be starting soon.

Lara Bingle if the Sunday Telegraph is to be believed is being spruiked around as a potential reality TV star ala Paris Hilton. Emails sent around to TV Stations are asking $1 million for where she would allow  ”The network, or its nominated production company, (would be) provided exclusive access to Lara’s day-to-day life to be used for a possible reality television series,”

Would her life be that interesting? Maybe I think it is time she went and did some further study.

Someone else who may consider getting a day job is Cassi Van Den Dungen.  Cassi Van Den Dungen who was last year’s Australia’s Next Top Model runner up but the one deemed to have the most modelling potential has managed to insult a huge international modelling agency according to the Sunday Telegraph.

The article says:

After finally landing a much sought-after trip to Paris for Fashion Week, the controversial Australia’s Next Top Model runner-up almost caught the first plane home with her builder boyfriend, virtually as soon as someone said “Bonjour” to her.

According to some outrageous posts on her Facebook page, she insulted the French and her international heavyweight agent, IMG.

Van Den Dungen, who arrived back in town on Wednesday, labelled the French “frog eaters” and “snail slurpers”. The immature posts were also scathing about “Frasians” (French Asians), labelling them as “idiots”.

As for IMG, well, “all these people are f***** in the head: the agency is trying to run me, not the other way around”.

Her long-suffering Sydney agent, Helena Vitolins, of Work Agency, said she just “wasn’t emotionally ready for Paris”. Clearly, she’s not prepared for other cultures.

I think it is time Australian Idol host, singer, and alright cool chick Ricki-Lee Coulter had a chat to Australia’s Next Top Modelrunner Cassi Van Den Dungen about settling down to young with the wrong man.

Ricki-Lee who seperated from her husband late last year admitted she had been far to young to get married, especially with someone who did not want to leave his home base of the Gold Coast.

It would appear Cassi is in a similar situation with her brick layer fiance and her chances of a lucrative modelling could be diminishing.

In yesterday’s news here Cassi Van Den Dungen revealed the reason she decided not to model in New York was because she would have to lose weight, her agent the Tanya Powell Agency agreed. However today Elite have said that is crap and her weight was fine. In a statement here in the Herald Sun from Doll Wright of Elite indicates she may have blown her chance with the modelling agency.

They said:

“She is in perfect shape and it’s a real shame that she believes that she would be forced to lose weight,”

“A top model has to have a great body, beautiful face and be professional,” Wright said.

“She has a great body and a beautiful face but the way she has been behaving is so negative and a way I’ve never seen a professional model behave.”

Everyone can see Cassi is blowing the chances of a lifetime, all except for Cassi, and the ‘man that loves her’ Brad.

The Herald Sun has an article where Australia’s Next Top Model runner up Cassi Van Den Dungen gives her reasons for not taking up a modelling contract in New York.

She said it would have meant she would have had to lose weight something her manager Candy Powell backs her up on. However Ms Powell also says she is sure Cassi could be a success in New York when she is ready for it. So won’t that mean she would have to ‘lose weight’ then?

Anyway the article said:

I know the international market would want me to lose more weight,” Van Den Dungen said.

“I don’t want to lose any more weight. I’m happy with the way I am and I actually want to put the weight I lost from the stress of the show back on,” she said.

“I am already in between a size six and eight but I would like to be a more average size, say between eight and 10.”

She said it was worrying to see the lengths some models went to to reach industry standards.

“It freaks you out to see how skinny these girls can get. They have got to be unhealthy and not eating properly and if they are eating properly then they are not eating enough.”

Van Den Dungen’s Melbourne modelling agent Candy Powell believes her teenage model made the right choice.

“The international market would want Cassi to lose weight,” Powell said.

“I wouldn’t feel comfortable trying to press a 17-year-old girl to slim down from size six or eight to size four,” she said.

She felt the Australian modelling industry was more flexible about models’ weight.

“It’s one of the good things about working with local designers, they want to show clothes in more realistic sizes.

“I’m sure when she feels ready, Cassi can make it in New York.”

I am still trying to work out whether ‘losing weight’ is code for ‘I am not leaving my boyfriend Brad’.

The Herald Sun has an article saying Australia’s Next Top Model runner up Cassi Van Den Dungen will marry her bricklayer fiancee Brad Saul next year.

She also says that it was her decision not to go overseas to futher her career.

Van Den Dungen said it was her decision to mature first before heading overseas.

“It wasn’t his fault,” she said. “He was actually telling me if you want to go over there, it’s fine with me, do what you want to do.”
