Alice Burdeau Confirms There Is Still Life After Australia’s Next Top Model.
Winner of Australia’s Next Top Model in 2007 Alice Burdeau is still in demand as a model overseas. Here she is in an advertisement for Blumarine Cruise.
Further pictures can be found on ANTM Live Journal. Don’t expect to see her back in Australia soon posing in the Big W catalogue.
On the same ANTM Blog they have this year’s winner Demelza Reveley posing for Ferrero Rocher chocolates (picture below) and there really is no comparison between the two. Alice is all quality and Demelza is really just a pretty girl.

When Two Reality Shows Collide….
Don’t you love it when two of your favourite reality TV shows merge. Above is a picture of Demelza winner of this year’s Australia’s Next Top Model, wearing Project Runway Australia runner up Leigh Buchanan’s tutu dress which he designed for the catwalk show.
Demelza here “˜Foxtel Lap’ on November 14 in Sydney. The event is designed to raise money and awareness for the the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
Somehow I don’t think Demelza was doing any running in those shoes.
For an update on what Leigh Buchanan is up to go here.

Model News
Apparently Cheyenne Tozzi is touted as being the host of Australia’s Next Top Model. This is the strangest pick ever if it is true as I don’t even think she has had her 21st birthday. I thought they saw the hosting role to be a be a bit of a mother hen.
I suspect her manager has leaked this story themselves to see if Foxtel will take the bait and audition her. Full story here.
Demelza Revelely this years winner of Australia’s Next Top Model, has now said she is a changed person over the bullying episode. To be honest I am a bit over the whole thing, and I don’t know why they still give it air time. Full story here.
In Make Me A Supermodel news apparently they were filming in my neighbourhood yesterday with this week’s challenges filmed at the Salvation Army store in St Peters, otherwise known as Tempe Tip.
The model’s had to pick out outfits up to the value of $50 and then do a runway show. I will be interested to see if the model’s are in any of my chain store cast offs…
Full story with a nice picture of Hannah McCarthy here.

Demelza May Make It As A Model
After winning this year Australia’s Next Top Model Demelza was snubbed by Vogue Editor Kirsty Clements for the now infamous bullying episode it was unclear whether she would go onto to a successful modelling career.
Things are looking up for Demelza with her winning an international campaign for Ferrero Rocher. Full story here.

Demelza has lost 10 cms from her hips for Next Top Model Final.
Demelza one of the final two contestants left in Australia’s Next Top Model has lost 10 cms from her hips after she was told in New York by agents she was to fat.
Last nights episode which was filmed in New York had the girls meeting agents where they were assessed on whether they had the look to make it in New York.
Surprisingly Alex came out with the thumbs up with two of the agents quite positive about her being able to make in fashion. Demelza was told she was out of proportion but she also she was stunningly beautiful. Personally I don’t see it, yes she is very pretty, but in a Helena Christenson category I don’t think so.
Sam because of her height and bad photo shoot was eliminated. Which was a pity as I thought she was stunning in the Marlen Breton fashion retrospective. An area where Alex failed spectacularly. Her walk was robotic (that is being kind) and Alice Burdeau last years winner could barely keep the smirk off her face.
Now we have a finale between the two least nice contestants in the competition Alex and Demelza.
Anyway back to the fat issue which today’s Daily Telegraph states the criticism of Demelza is sending out the wrong messages to women. I found this quite ironic considering the Tele is not know for putting pictures of over sized women in the paper (except when there is an article on obesity).
Personally I think this girl wants to be a model, and the reality is she needed to lose weight to achieve that goal. She has managed to do this by working out daily with a personal trainer five days a week. How wealthy is her family to be able to afford that?

Reality Tidbits
No Bagels in New York for Demelza from Australia’s Next Top Model.
Demelza last night was pretty excited to be in the final 3 and on the plane to New York. However her time there may not have been all that great. The model agencies they met told her she needed to lose weight as her body was too pear shaped.
This assessment will probably ensure she is not this series Next Top Model. Article here.
For The Trully Reality TV Obsessed – Here is A List of the Top 10 Reality TV villians.
Omarosa from The Apprentice was number one. Johnathan from the Johnathan and Victoria couple on The Amazing Race was second. Who could ever forget the famous scene where he nearly hit her at the pit stop in Berlin. I must google to try and find out if they are still together.
Third was Johnny Fairplay from Survivor. He has just been on Fans V Favourites Survivor which has already screened in the US, but now talk about when we are going to see it here.
For the full list of villians click Here./ I was surprised Jade from Next Top Model didn’t make the list.
American Idol judges V So You Think You Can Dance Judges – How Do They Compare?
The New York Daily News has a light hearted article comparing the judging panels of American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. I got the impression the journo thought So You Think You Can Dance panel has a better balance and gives a better critique.

Australia’s Next Top Model – Alamela Being Bullied By The Dapto Dogs
Alamela the kooky Australia Next Top Model’s contestant from Byron Bay nearly left the series after being bullied by the Dapto Dogs Demelza, Alyce, and Rebecca.
Apparently the bullying against her got so bad it culminated in Demelza throwing water bombs at Alamela before dumping a bucket of water on her head.
In this weeks NW Alamela said she considered leaving the series to get away from her tormentors.
“I had to think for a long time whether I’d stay or not.”
“I wanted to leave, and then I realised I was there to pursue modelling, not so much for the experience.”
“I just kept thinking I was going to get out [of the house] eventually. I don’t know what was going on inside their minds. They tended to get bored and [bullying] was what they’d do in their spare time, like a hobby.”
Alamela got through the experience with the support of the show’s crew and was relieved when the trio were disciplined.
“It was really good to know that kind of thing wasn’t going to be accepted and it was pointed out as being unprofessional.”
“They did apologise in the end and I accept their apologies, but they’re not the kind of people I’d ever be friends with.”
Charlotte Dawson says she and the fellow judges were deeply upset by the antics of the three girls and verbally “tore them to shreds” during a 30 min confrontation.
“The producers don’t really tell us what happens in the house, because our job is to judge them on skill and ability, and they don’t want us to form opinions based on their behaviour.”
“But in this case there had be an intervention. Their behaviour was getting out of control. We have a responsibility to protect this girl. it was upsetting producers, the crew.”
Alyce one of the accused bully’s states the situation has been blown out of proportion.
“It started as a bit of fun but it got out of hand. I hope it doesn’t affect my future career, but I can’t stress enough that there are two sides to the the story.”
It makes you wonder where the rest of the girls in the house were when this was going on.
In the nastiest show in the programs short history which will be screened tomorrow night on
Fox 8.
