Category — Australia’s Next Top Model
After a year’s hiatus Australia’s Next Top Model is back. This time without Charlotte Dawson, however the series is dedicated to her, and Cheyenne Tozzi is the new face on screen. So clearly she impressed the Foxtel bosses from her time on The Face. Of course Alex Perry is there along with host Jennifer Hawkins and Didier Cohen.
This series it was straight into it with the final 12 young girls already selected.
And the producers know how to keep the viewer captivated by making sure there is a catwalk challenge. This is where the girls have wear very high heels and walk down the cat walk like Bambi. A movie the girls probably are just old enough to have stopped watching. Brittany freaks out and misses one of turns on the catwalk. And this is about as much drama you get on this show.
Then it was photo shoot time. The theme was black and white portrait with Alessandro Ambrosio directing and judging with Jennifer Hawkins and Alex Perry. Clearly Didier and Cheyenne are still on their P-Plates and are yet to make it to the juding table.
There is a point system this year. What do you think about? And it was Western Australian Kaitlyn cast out with some tears with it.
What did you think of the show? Who do you like?

Cheyenne Tozzi clearly pleased the people at Foxtel when she was on The Face Australia as she has now been appointed the new mentor on Australia’s Next Top Model.
It is apparently “a newly created role” with her and Didier Cohen mentoring their young charges whilst Jennifer Hawkins, Alex Perry and a rotating third guest judge will be on the panel each week. The rotating guest judge is probably because Foxtel don’t want to look like they are replacing Charlotte Dawson who died earlier this year.
However I like guest judges as they can give a different perspectives about the models as permanent judges can get entrenched on who the like and dislike.
Cheyenne has extensive modelling experience and should be able to impart her knowledge to the modelling wannabees.
Cheyenne will make her first appearance on the Top Model audition tour tomorrow from 10am at MYER, Bourke Street Melbourne.

Jennifer Hawkins certainly knows how to make an impact on the red carpet with a figure hugging and sheer Roberto Cavalli gown. However she would have also been very happy that her show Australia’s Next Top Model won Most Outstanding Reality Program.
Word is that filming has now been delayed and won’t start filming until the end of this year making it 2015 before it is on our TV screens again.
Andrew Winter from Selling Houses Australia won the Favourite Personality Male for the seventh or so time with his work colleague Shaynna Blaze also taking out the favourite female category. The ever lovely Shaynna was in tears about her second win in this category.
In theory she now might be able to win a Logie and a Astra in the one year. Selling Houses also won Favourite Program – Australian.
Matt Moran’s Paddock To Plate won Most Outstanding Lifestyle Program and a season two is in production as is River Cottage Australia. However star of the show Paul West revealed it was unlikely the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall will be on this series as he has taken a year off.
Jennifer Hawkins and Didier Cohen paid tribute to Charlotte Dawson complete with a touching photo and video montage. Sarah Murdoch presented her sisters, Vicky Dawson and Robin Barclay, with a posthumous ASTRA award “To honour an exceptional contribution to the Subscription Television Industry”.
Didier Cohen when he was on the red carpet mentioned they were delaying the start of filming out of respect and they will start filming towards the end of the year. In fact it is unlikely to be on our screens until 2015. Didier is officially not single as he walked the red carpet with his stunning girlfriend Jess.
The most in demand ladies were the Real Housewives of Melbourne with everyone wanting to find out if they were not talking to each other. There is going to be a seconnd season as it is the most successful dramality show that Australia has ever produced. Filming on it is yet to start.
Nicole Trunfio a mentor from The Face Australia looked model ready in a Dolce and Gabbana frock again like Jennifer it was sheer.
Darren McMullen and his girlfriend Crystal Reed made a late red carpet arrival not leaving a lot of time for questions however he did reveal that he thinks The Voice Kids is going to be a big hit and that Joel Madden has the best team.
However I had my biggest fan girl moment when Kristian Alfonso aka Hope from Day Of Our Lives walked down the red carpet. She looked amazing especially since I wagged school for about a week to see her and Beau get married for the first time. No folks in those days not everyone had a video recorder.
