Cassi Van Den Dungen Signs With An “Unknown” Agency In Melbourne

cassi van den dungen

So what do you do if you come runner up in a popular modelling TV show called Australia’s Next Top Model and you get mega bucks international contracts thrown at you? You turn them down and sign with a very small modelling agency in Melbourne the Courier Mail reports today.

Cassi Van Den Dungen has said she would prefer to just model out of Melbourne so she can stay with her 25 year old fiancee brick layer Brad Saul.

She has signed with the modelling agency she did child modelling with when she was five called The Tanya Powell Modelling Agency. They advise she will be doing a shoot for Portmans this weekend.

The fashion blogger Frockwriter gives an indepth analysis on what she thinks of this move by the 17 year old model, and gives further information about the agency.

Also Adele Theile who came fourth in the competition continues to be bitter towards Cassi for by accusing her of stealing other girls chances in this article in the The Herald Sun.

That’s irrational. Cassi turned down *her* opportunities. Adele, a nice girl who can walk well, has the charisma of a shellfish – and if she’d come second instead of Cassi she would not in a trillion years be receiving the same opportunies.

If I were a designer or casting agent, I would much rather hire Adele and be guaranteed a professional attitude and consistent, classy catwalk skills than be stuck with Cassi’s wonky, amateur “walk” – that’s if she decided to turn up!
This shows how short sighted the show is… they chose Cassi over Clare because they wanted the next Alice Burdeau, and they came out with nothing at all.

They chose Cassi over Clare because they/ie Sarah wanted Tahnee to be a statement. I doubt Sarah expected the industry judges on the panel to vote for Cassi, especially Russell James.

It’s done and dusted. Adele and Clare can carry on and be professional. In my opinion they lack sparkle.

Alice Burdeau appears to have had her day. Looked mighty grumpy at the finale!

Sooty – Maybe Alice was pissy about having to attend now she is a big international model. Must be in the winner of ANTM contract that they must attend the finale for the next five years.

If any of the other models had been good enough, they too would have been offered a contract to work in America.
No matter when Cassie went , it was not taking anyone’s chances away.
They simply were not what is wanted or good enough.

finally some people who are rational~~ regardless if you liked cassi or not… those opportunities are hers alone… you can’t blame someone else for your own chances… i thought adele was not a whinger but i guess she is… cassi has more of a IT factor in her looks… clare & adele are good but not outstanding… they don’t stand out from a bunch of model looking girls…

RR- read Alice has been dropped by several of her OS agencies but was leaving that bit out as I don’t know how true it is. That’d make me grumpy!

Sooty just read this in Sunday Tele:
ALICE Burdeu was rumoured to be on the verge of giving up modelling, but now her career has taken off in a major way.

According to insiders there is a massive overseas brand campaign in the wings. On August 19 Burdeu will step out on to the runway for the Myer Spring/Summer 09/10 show.

If this recent advertising campaignfor Myer is anything to go by, Burdeu is really going to turn heads.

Good news, RR. She’s got the goods.
