Farmer Wants A Wife – Brad and Stacie Are Engaged
True love has prevailed again on the dating reality series Farmer Wants A Wife.
Season four love birds Brad Crane and Stacie Marmion are now engaged.
Farmer Brad Crane, from the NSW country town of Lithgow, will tie the knot with Stacie Marmion after popping the question over takeaway fish and chips.
The pair fell in love on national television and have enjoyed a whirlwind six-month romance.
Mr Crane, a cattle farmer, told Woman’s Day magazine he planned to propose during a romantic island holiday, but found he could not wait any longer.
He asked Marmion to marry him during a meal of fish and chips and a game of charades on a beach on the NSW south coast, he said.
“Her lips started quivering and luckily she said yes,” Mr Crane said.
“To be honest, I went on the show for a bit of fun.
“I didn’t think there would be much chance of finding a bloody wife on national television. I still can’t believe my luck.”
For anyone watching the show you could see that they were a great couple who were madly in love from just about the moment they met. And apparently even when the show was on she used to sneak up to his bedroom each night.
“She used to sneak up,” Brad said “That’s when you could actually sit down and talk and be yourself – the camera team had no idea.”
The wedding will be next year with 160 guests, and the couple plan to drive around Australia for four months in a romantic quest to find a new farm property where they can start building their life together.
Other matches from different series are Chris Newsome and Kim Tierney who married in 2007 and had their first child this year.
Melbourne photographer Jo Fincham and her Mt Gambier farmer Rob Hodge, from the show’s second series, are also engaged.
