Farmer Wants A Wife – A Break-Up, An Engagement And A New Format

The Courier Mail following a story in Woman’s Day is confirming rumours that Farmer Wants A Wife host, and Channel Nine fave Natalie Gruzlewski has separated from her husband.

She seems to be taking it in her stride and will be heading to Sydney to share weather presenter duties with Jaynie Seal. She will be hosting Season Five of the popular Farmer Wants A Wife, however an air date is yet to be announced.

In happier news season two hottie and dairy farmer from Jambaroo, Ben Honey, is engaged to local Wollongong girl Kate Morgan (I wonder if she is any relation to the infamous Beth Morgan?). The Illawarra Mercury states the couple are wanting to keep details of their upcoming nuptials private. Or does this mean they will sell the day to a Woman’s magazine?

On the show he went for Sydney nanny Sarah Walton, but even though she moved to the farm they broke up as she found life on the land difficult.

Also in the latest edition of TV Week, in an interview with Natalie where she states there are some changes to the format.

These include:

  • The women will not find out where their farmer is located in Australia until they meet them for the first time on the farm;
  • They are doing away with the group dates this year and heading straight to the farm. I wonder if this means the guys have to pick the three girls from the speed dating. That is a big call to make when only meeting them for five minutes.
  • There will be a female farmer this season named  Becky; and Natalie also revealed her favourite couple is Chris and Kim from Season One.
