Farmer Wants A Wife – Who Ended Up With Whom

Gosh was there anyone on Season 4 of Farmer Wants A Wife that didn’t fall in love?  It appears Steven was the only real loser, but I am not convinced that Russell has found true love with Laura.

Kaye dodged a bullet when it came to Gavin, she was far to vibrant for him and would have only lasted a month on the farm doing the domestic chores. But to be fair I think Gavin picked the right woman in Rebecca, they are a good match. Loved her son Freedom what a great kid. On the couch in the Hunter they both confessed they were in love. They will be engaged within the year.

Scott ended up with Clare, again a great choice as she is from the area and if this week’s TV Week is true she is happy to move back there. However I was not convinced by their body language on the couch, compared to some of the other couples.

Nate managed to pick two psycho chicks, Heidi and Leonie, they could barely speak to each other. He ended up picking Heidi, and it seems a good choice as they appear madly in love. Leonie will probably carry the scars of not being chosen for quite sometime and become even more bitter and twisted.

Love Brad but he seriously needs to know how to cook, all he seems to do is reheat meat pies. Though I must confess I teared up when he went and got the lovely Stacie from the pub. I did like all the dopey looks on the old male drinkers faces, who seemed completely non-plussed about the TV cameras.

I loved at the reunion that he confessed to falling in love at first sight. I hope they put this pair on the Dairy Farmer ads next season.

Natalee showed her displeasure that Russel picked Laura to go to the wedding, and was pretty off hand wiht him in fact at their ‘romantic’ dinner she looked bored. However he ended up picking her for the city break, but the big twist was that Laura was a the reunion in the Hunter. I am not convinced that he will end up with her for the long term.

Phil and Jenny also appeared to have found love, and appear well matched. Apparently he is loaded as they keep on going on about it, it would seem he has been worried in the past that women wanted his money rather than him. I wish I had those worries.

Steven who had struck out with Elissa and Sian, ended up knocking on Dani’s door, but that fell flat. Somehow I am not surprised. He reckons she was not happy when he told Dani that he just wanted to be mates.

All in all a successful season of the dating show, and they are already auditioning for the next season.

Clare + Scott = Perfect Couple.
Wishing the both of you all the happiness in the world, you truly compliment each other. I can see stunning children ahead for the two of you.

Stacie seems to have completed Brad – lovely Australian story.

Russell, does he really know what he wants? Laura deserves some credit for giving him a second chance, hope he is worthy of it.

Olivia and Natalee are two extremely attractive girls, with gorgeous personalities, I can’t see them being available for much longer.

I’m concerned that Phil may have a Thyroid problem, a common symptom of this is enlarged/bulging eyes and baldness. I sincerely hope I’m wrong but you can never be too careful.

I won’t miss seeing Harry High Pants (Nate). Seems like a lovely guy, but I have a feeling he will regret his choice.

Rebecca and Gavin – both make you really believe that some love stories do end in “Happy Ever After”- rather then “Divorce”-

Poor little Steven, I was expecting him to break into a little Shannon Noll “What about me”-

Loved the season but have a feeling they have milked the cow dry”¦

well done to stacie & brad – they suit each other so much, i am again a believer in love at first sight

by the way if it does not work out for farmer phil – i’ll leave my slippers under his bed any day – he’s adorable

I thought this season was a total washout. Apart from Brad and Stacie, I found myself not really giving a toss.

I’m not convinced about Rebecca and Gavin. I think he would have stuck to Kaye if she hadn’t challenged him on his lack of romance. If I was Rebecca, I’d be asking myself if I was just second-choice. It irks me how some of these farmers change their mind from one moment to the next, although I know that could represent editing.

Agree, RR, re Scott and Clare. I wasn’t buying the body language and I think this will be shortlived thing. My feeling is that she probably was pleased to have been the one chosen and that initial euphoria will soon wear off. I liked Olivia far more – greater maturity too.

I didn’t reckon either of the girls for Nate. I’m not putting any money on the relationship with ‘Tiny Dancer’ lasting either.

Russell? Well, I don’t think he really knows what he wants. I’m not even sure if he should really have been on the show. Lucky for him Laura gave him a second chance but I don’t see it lasting.

The way Phil keeps going on about what he’s got, he’d be a real turn off and I reckon he’d probably be a tightwad too. So I hope the main attraction for his lady isn’t his dough because I’m sure he’d be holding on to it tightly. Not convinced by this pair either – not sure she would be in for the match if he wasn’t so well
off. Maybe his instincts are right?

And Steven? Going back to the girl he originally sent home? What a joke.

Every series has a success story though and this time it’s Brad and Stacie. What a great couple these two make. Both adorable and the series was worth watching just to see these two get together. I hope they have a long and happy life together.

Pauline and Wurstsemmel – maybe what appeared to be Phil being guarded was him having to put up with a decade of gold diggers.

Tainted Love – Re: Phil’s eyes it would appear to be heredity as he looked like his sister.

Also Wurstsemmel – I reckon Heidi and Jenny at 35 biological clock was tolling big time. They both looked pretty happy.

6 Could It Be? { 09.15.09 at 4:40 pm }

The topic of conversation in our office today, isn’t about which farmer ended up with which lady, it’s a pressing question that remains unanswered regarding Nate’s package.

Nate is that a sock down their?

It’s also a consensus that Steve will remain on the single scene if he continues to wear skate shoes at his age. Steve your no longer 17…

Could it be? – AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGH I missed Nathan’s lunchbox and I have deleted all episodes. I am scolding myself, as normally I would notice some like that. LOL.

Steven has more problems than wearing skate shoes.

Time will tell, RR. I know I’m sounding pretty cynical :)

Last night Queensland cane farmer Gavin Phalke – whose son Steven was also looking for love on the series – told host Natalie Gruzlewski he was still with single mum Rebecca Davis.

But the relationship has fizzled since the final episode was filmed more than five months ago.

Grampians farmer Russell Macgugan also failed to find love.

It’s a different story for cattle farmer Crane, who said he went on the show for a bit of fun but ended up finding his soulmate
Choking back tears, Crane said Marmion is without doubt “the one” for him.

“She’s perfect. She’s gorgeous.

“She’s everything I’ve always wanted in a girl,” he said.

“She will work all day in cow poo and then put on a dress and go out for tea at the pub like a lady.”

He said he knew Marmion was the girl for him the moment he read her profile.

“I read it and thought ‘bloody hell this is the girl version of me’.

“The moment I looked at her I knew, fair dinkum
Crane said the attraction was instant between him and Marmion, who lives “just up the road” – 30 minutes from his property.

He said they had been inseparable since meeting on the show.

“She went away for four days for work and I didn’t like it one bit.

“We’re always together now.

“People say it’s worked out because she lives so close but if she lived in WA, I would have packed up and moved there just to be close to her.”

Farmer Scott Warby said he and Brisbane-based Clare Spark have seen each other every weekend since the show finished filming.

“I went into it pretty sceptical but it’s worked out well,” Warby said.

“It took me a bit longer to get to know Clare and I guess that made it a bit more meaningful when I did.
After the show finished we started again and got to know each other in real life – without the cameras

I reckon Clare and Scott make a lovely couple. So what if they weren’t all over one another on the couch, if you look at it closely it looks like the scene was cut in some parts. It may just be because he’s shy or doesn’t like PDA (public displays of affection). They are still together 5 months after the show.
