Terry Biviano of WAG Nation dined at the Chiswick in Woollahra for an interview with Kate Waterhouse for Fairfax. If you’ve found yourself cringing whilst watching, you’re not alone – Terry revealed that she was uncomfortable in front of the camera and does not enjoy watching the show back. She also says that she took a fair bit of convincing before agreeing to participate, and is not a fan of the show’s title.
The Age reports that Network Ten and Shine are in talks to sell The Shire in the UK.
Matt Campbell, the managing director of the production company behind The Shire, Shine Australia, denied The Shire would damage Australia’s image abroad.
Phew. We can all rest easy, now.
Get ready for a Victorian onslaught when MasterChef launches. The first seven episodes will be based in Vic, thanks to a partnership between Tourism Victoria and Network Ten. And in case Sydney-siders miss the product placement within the show, our Tourism and Major Events minister promises ads for Melbourne will screen during the show in the Harbour city.

Wag Nation is one of the highly anticipated reality tv shows this year, mainly to see if this type of semi scripted genre can work when Australian companies produce them.
On the weekend one of its stars Terry Bivano married her sportsman Anthony Minichiello, and it would be interesting to know if the camera crew were there to ensure this momentous occasion was captured for the show.
I suspect not – Terry Bivano is no Kim Kardashian. However she has gone on the reality TV show to increase her profile and her shoe business. Ironically she did not wear her own brand of shoes to her wedding.
The other WAG’s on the show are Lynette Bolton, Jana Peterson, Chantelle Raleigh, and Jackie Spong. One aspect of the show that will be interesting will be how the weave the plot line through the girls lives when they live in different cities and their guys play for different sports.
WAG Nation will be on Fox 8 in 2012.

So when is a WAG not a WAG? Well according to Terry Biviano in today’s social pages in the SMH she claims she is not one.
Well can someone tell the producers of the reality show WAG Nation in which she is starring. WAG Nation is a reality tv show that is currently in production about none other than Wags. Yes that would be wives and girlfriends of sports stars.
Terry Biviano is the fiancee of Roosters rugby league player Anthony Minichello, and has signed on for the show. So I am confused about why she thinks she is not a WAG.
IN the SMH gossip pages she told Lizzy Lovette:
“I am not a WAG.”
“Society attaches so many negative connotations to that label,” she says. “We instantly imagin someone who only cares about their looks … and who hasn’t worked a day in their lives. This is not the truth.”
After initially turning down the series, she finally signed on with a mission in mind: “To put an end to the stereotype and set the record straight.”
Funny I thought she had gone on the show to promote herself and her shoe range.
The show is a 10 part reality series which will follow the lives of the WAG’s. Let us hope the producers have learnt some lessons from Park St and will ensure there is some plot lines and drama.

WAG Nation the reality TV show to be based on wives and girlfriends of footballers has now been cast. I have to admit I am a bit underwhelmed as I have only heard of one of them.
However that could say more about my knowledge of the Festival of the Boot rather then the status of the girls involved.
The five girls the show will be following are: shoe designerTerry Biviano, fiancée of NRL Sydney Roosters player Anthony Minicello; event planner Lynette Bolton, wife of AFL Sydney Swans player Jude Bolton; fashion boutique owner Jackie Spong, fiancée of AFL Carlton Blues player Jarrad Waite; promotions manager Jana Peterson, long-term girlfriend of NRL Cronulla Sharks player John Williams; and flight attendant Chantelle Raleigh, girlfriend of NBL Gold Coast Blaze player Adam Gibson.
I suppose it doesn’t matter who they are, it will come down to whether they have the personalities to carry it off.
I am still waiting for a gripping Australian made semi-scripted reality TV series. Unfortunately Park St did not cut it.
WAG Nation will be shown on Foxtel later on in the year.

I am loving that Australia is starting to produce more semi-scripted reality TV.
Ok Freshwater Blue was a dog, but The Park the series that will be set in the magazine world of Park St, looks like it has legs.
Foxtel have also commissioned a 10 part series called WAGs. It will be about the girlfriends and wives of professional sportsmen.
The first confirmed signing according to News.com.au is Terry Bivano, Anthony Minichiello partner. Terry also has her own shoe range, so expect to see a lot of that in the show.
The article also reveals:
There is speculation that Liz Cantor, girlfriend of Roosters bad-boy Todd Carney, will also feature, along with Home And Away starlet Tessa James, who is engaged to Nate Myles, also a Rooster.
The show will run for 10 episodes and spies say some candidates are receiving some “on-air” training.
“A few of the girls are a bit raw and are being helped along with some TV ‘polishing’,” said a spy.
