Foxy Shaynna Blaze Joins The Block As A Judge

Selling Houses Australia interior design guru has announced she will be joining The Block as a third judge with real estate agent, John McGrath, and Belle Magazine editor, Neale Whitaker.

This is a positive for the show as fans of hers will know she always has strong views and ideas about the houses on Selling Houses Australia. Also The Block did need to get someone who has a different aesthetic from the other two judges as each week they tended to have the same views on the rooms.

This year The Block will again be set in Melbourne and in houses. It will be screened later this year on Channel NINE.

If you want to get a sneak peek at Shaynna watch Selling Houses Australia on Lifestyle Channel at 8.30pm on a Wednesday.

Selling Houses Australia Extreme – Train Wreck Houses Transformed

Extreme appears to be the new buzz word in reality TV, there is Extreme Makeovers, and Bridalplasty where the prize is extreme plastic surgury, and now we have Selling Houses Australia Extreme.

Regular readers will know I rarely cover observational reality TV (due to time constraints) , but since Lifestyle kindly sent me a preview, I decided to check it out.

Now how does Selling Houses become extreme? Well this time they are selling houses which are train wrecks. They have aspects about them that make them very off putting for the buyer. In this week’s episode there is a massive electricity pylon right in the front yard of the house in North Rocks, Sydney.

But there are other issues with the house. It was built in the early 80′s, complete with corner spa, and purple loo, and the colours of walls and floors can only be described as cack.

Andrew Winter, who appears to be the thinking woman’s tottie, again hosts the show and moves it along nicely. He tells it to the vendors straight and suggests changes to the property.

He is joined by Charlie Albone again is the landscape designer, and Shaynna Blaze-Vaughan who gives advice on the interiors.

The show is extremely watchable particularly if you like out there houses and transformations, and of course there is a happy ending.

Selling Houses Australia Extreme is on Lifestyle on Wednesday nights, starting tonight at 8.30pm.

Andrew Winter will be chatting on the Lifestyle Channel after the show at 9.30pm tonight.
