Auditions! Auditions!

Project Runaway Australia is ready to set off on a new search for our nation’s next big fashion designers in the upcoming fourth season, hosted by supermodel Megan Gale. Applications are now open online here.

The contestant call is also sent out for the new season of Beauty and the Geek Australia, the social experiment helping girls be more than just beautiful, and awkward men to woo them. I currently study at the University of Technology, Sydney, and last year, geeky guys and pretty girls were being signed up to the show on my campus. I had to stop and take another look when a Beauty and the Geek casting stall was set up at my uni. I wonder if that’ll happen again this year? Hopefully, I’ll remember to take pics this time! (the line wasn’t long when I passed it). Apply as a geek or beauty here!

Meanwhile, registrations for The X Factor Australia are still going. The dates and details for applying are here in realityraver’s post and here on the official website.

I can’t sew and I’m not awkward or extremely interested in pretty girls, so I can’t say I’m that keen on trying out for the first two shows! But if I can gather a few friends for The X Factor Australia audition, it’ll hopefully be fun! (And better than my Australian Idol experience a few years back).

Yet, nothing would get me more thrilled than the auditions announcement for the return of Big Brother Australia! Stay up to date with their official Nine website, twitter account @bbau9 and Facebook page for the first whispers!

A few weeks ago, I was mislead to excitement when they tweeted something along the lines of: “The wait will soon be over! Auditions coming soon!” – but then I haven’t heard anything since. And checking back on their page, that tweet has been deleted. Strange?!

Let me know which reality shows you would audition for, even if they’re not looking for contestants at the moment!

They’re all too hard or require too much effort for me. My strong points are watching and criticising.

Based on this season I could team up with a gorilla and last quite a few weeks on MKR.

3 Georgie { 03.10.12 at 1:43 am }

I think someone has already done that, cause I reckon Thomas looks like an Orangutan.

An Orangutan could work out how to use a gas lighter.

Good point and they’re likeable too.

My doctor won’t be happy if I put on 70 kilos or so and audition for The Biggest Loser.
Can’t go on Please Marry My Boy- Mum’s dead. Times are tough.

Won’t pass the X Factor auditions….I can sing and play an instrument.

8 Georgie { 03.10.12 at 2:22 am }

Lol – well can you juggle, or how about telling jokes, you’d be good at that and the Australia’s Got Talent judges love a comedian.

Maybe with some Jack Vidgenesque dental work, I could be in with a shot on AGT.

I lacks turkey slapping skills, BB is out.

Hello how do you audition for big brother couse i really want to no please email me asap thnx x

11 Georgie { 03.10.12 at 2:39 am }

I’ve got it – we could both be judges. You don’t need any talent, it’s not too hard, it doesn’t require much effort AND you get paid!

stacy….read this and good luck.

Keep checking the official 9 website.

I need practice, Georgie, to keep a straight face and tell a deluded contestant: ” You’re an international superstar! ” “You blew me away “, “You’re going to sell lots of albums” “You made the hair on the back of my neck stand up” etc

14 Georgie { 03.10.12 at 3:09 am }

Think of the money then – and you don’t need to keep a straight face. I’ve seen X Factor judges pissing themselves laughing at delusional contestants.

Georgie and BDD-You can both be judges on MKR or Masterchef. Not too hard except you have to eat cold food and if there are children involved, you both have to be nice!

littlepetal, I don’t think anything could have induced me to eat that kangaroo stew – hot or cold!

I can cope with the kids if someone else is cleaning up the kitchen after them.
