Real Housewive Of Miami Joanna Kruper In A Controversial PETA Ad
Reality TV star Joanna Kruper from Real Housewives of Miami decided to undress for a PETA advertisement. Well people are rarely dressed in PETA ads!
PETA campaigns against fur and are notorious for their headlining campaigns like throwing flour on Anna Wintour and getting stars to disrobe.
This campaign has some added controversy according to Gloss website as it insinuates that pubic hair is unattractive.
However PETA again has shown they have the ability to make an advertising campaign go global.

Real Housewives Of Australia Going Ahead And Now Casting
In news for Real Housewives fans, a Real Housewives of Australia will be screened on Foxtel next year.
It was announced today that Arena will screen 10 x one hour docu-drama which will provide an insider view of the lifestyles of the wealthy and pampered women found in the chicest parts of cities all over the world.
The show will showcase the extravagant lives of five of Australia’s most privileged, powerful and glamorous women. The series will introduce us to an elite group of women and reveal intimate and often outrageous details about their relationships, career triumphs, pitfalls and family drama.
Foxtel Executive Director of Television Brian Walsh said “The Real Housewives of Australia will tap into the qualities and idiosyncrasies that are uniquely Australian whilst embracing all the drama, antics and extravagance we have come to love when observing these pampered wives of the uber riche.
The show will be produced by Matchbox Pictures and they will casting over the coming weeks.
This is great news for reality TV in Australia, however hopefully they will cast from one city or town only and there will be links between some if not all of the cast. This has worked so well for the overseas shows. If they are going to cast people from different cities it will be hard to get plot lines going, this could be seen in the entertaining but not so successful WAG’s series screened earlier this year where people were cast from different cities and different sporting codes and it was difficult getting story lines or connections going.
The Gold Coast Housewives would be fun, but who knows where it will pop up. As I have said in previous blog posts going years back I still think Skye Leckie would be fantastic on a show like this.
Suggestions included:
The Sydney cast could include Skye Leckie wife of David Leckie as Australia’s version of Ramona. Gail Elliott, could take on the Kelly Bensimon role, Charlotte Dawson would be perfect in the Bethenny role, and Kirsten Carrioll would be the equivalent of the countess as she is married to a French man, as well as using it as platform to promote her lanolips range. For the Jill Zarin role I would suggest Ben Tilley’s wife Tiffany which would also create some tension with Skye Leckie just like the Real Housewives of NYC show.
However will add a few more names in as suggestions Shari-Lea Hitchcock, Liz Buttrose and their friend Darrel Lea heir, Carissa Lea. They are all friends in real life so there would not have to be as many set up scenarios and their conversation could flow naturally.
Roxy Jacenko who has been in a reality TV pilot before would be a great edition to the cast as would her sister Ruby. Lara Bingle is not doing much she could be a worthwhile addition to the show.
I am sure there would be quite a few who would put their hands up to be on the show, remember Bethenny Frankel is now worth $55 million.

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills And Silicon Valley Starting On Arena TV
Arena TV has two shows fast tracked from the USA to start tonight and to screen Tuesday nights.
First is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills which follows the conspicuous consumption and drama of the lives of some housewives of the posh Los Angeles suburb.
Silicon Valley is another Bravo production this time follow tech entrepeneurs however it has the usual Bravo tricks of drama and consumerism. So if you are expecting a realistic look at the tech valley think again. It has had mixed reviews.
NY Times collated some reviews that were not real positive more aghast at it not being “real” however Venture Beat gave it a much more positive review, clearly taking it at face value.
Real Housewives of Beverley Hills on Arena TV at 8.30pm Tuesday nights.
Silicon Valley on Arena TV at 9.30pm Tuesday nights.

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Star Coming To Australia
This poll is from US site The Hollywood Reporter asking which of the many Real Housewives franchises is best liked. if it was an Australian poll the outcome would probably be different with Beverly Hills and New York polling higher.
Good news for Real Housewives Beverly Hill fans is that season three will starting on Arena on Tuesday 6 November on Arena at 8.30pm, fast tracked from the US, and also Taylor Armstrong is coming to Australia to promote the show at that time.
Taylor is the housewife who had to deal with her husband suiciding after they had separated and his business went bust. To be frank she must be getting over being defined by that so hopefully for her in season three there are some new plot lines.
For those who have not watched any of the Real Housewive franchises it is all about conspicuous consumption spliced with drama.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills follows Taylor Armstrong, Adrienne Maloof, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Brandi Glanville, this season there is a new housewife, Yolanda H. Foster. They live the high life in Beverley Hills.
Which is your favourite Real Housewife franchise?
Real Housewives of Beverley Hill premieres on Arena TV Tuesday 6 November at 8.30pm.

Real Housewives Franchise To Come To Sydney?
The Daily Telegraph is saying the Real Housewives franchise is set to come to Sydney with talent scouts scouring the Eastern Suburbs for “talent”.
A Real Housewives is definitely on my new years wish list, however I am not holding my breath at this stage. These rumours have been circulating for years. What happened to The East?
For people who don’t watch the show, the Real Housewives franchise is all about conspicuous consumption and conflict.
In a blog post from a couple of years ago I outlined who I would like to see in the show and most are still relevant.
What Sydney really needs is their own Real Housewives series like the very popular Real Housewives of NYC, based on the lives of six New York ‘socialites’.
