Everybody Dance Now AXED

Network TEN have acted swiftly and axed Everybody Dance Now just a week after it premiered on our screens.

The show was a ratings and critical disaster, however it did showcase some amazing talent. Unfortunately it will spook networks from giving a dance show a go, which is a pity as So You Think You Can Dance was fabulous.

No word on whether it would be moved to Eleven or they will just cut their losses and pay the judges out. The people to really feel sorry for are the show’s crew and contestants. No one will have the opportunity to win that $250,000.

It is all little disappointing.

I enjoy dance shows but wasn’t inclined to try this at all. I mean what the hell were those judges there for? A kick in the face to all local DANCE experts.

Wow, I’m actually a bit surprised that this got canned so soon.

Will Sarah go running back to Foxtel, now?

Not surprised at all.

Sarah was snoressville. just listening to her boring, one toned, unenthusiastic voice would put anybody to sleep. The Judges, well were some what boring and lacked any real emotion or displayed a connection between performer and mentor.

So many amazing dancers, who put themselves out there. Shame the ratings werent in favour of their talent.

I am a fanatic “reality dance” fan. I stopped watching within 15 minutes of the show starting.
The British Got To Dance made this show look amateurish.
Narelle , you summed it all up perfectly.

Oh wow. That was quick! At least I got to see a few amazing performances. Guess that means I have more time to do other stuff now… 😛

Thanks for the heads up RR! ^_^

Our family vowed not to watch any of it after the incessant annoying promotions during Masterchef and Allstars. The American “judges” were a ridiculous idea.
Equally, since the Olympics finished, haven’t watched Channel 9 or ANY of their overpromoted shows.

Guarenteed Sarah insisted her husband axe this show to save face.

Good on ya @librarygirl! Although I did watch BB and only refused to watch the rest. Especially Howzat. Don’t really care about Packer and it looks very forced when it comes to performances and aesthetics. The actor sounded like he’s meant to win a gold logie by the end of it. A surprise it was a “ratings hit”.

Tv Tonight reported that the Aust. crew are getting one day’s pay. So, that’s fully axed, not transferring to 11.

Sarah O’Hare = BORING. No connection between host, mentors and contestants. I’m glad it’s gone. Bring back SYTYCD!!

No Mary Murphy. No hot tamale. No bloody wonder.

I am a dance fanatic and I couldn’t watch this all the way through – it was tripe. The dancing was not really that good, we have much better dancers in Australia, they must have stayed away, and the format was just cringe-inducing. No surprise this has gone, thank goodness. Hopefully we can at least get the US SYTYCD at some stage on Eleven.

ill admit the dance is really lame but what fotincun is the dance emote other than to look kinda stupid and make others laugh. at least they’re not doing something really gay like putting dark flight and sprint on the same cooldown
