Celebrity Apprentice – Should The Bland Go Before The Bitchy?
Well rule number one in reality TV is boring will go before bitchy, and that is certainly what happened tonight.
After the girls team were thoroughly beaten by the guys it was time to face the board room.
Deni Hines continued to delude herself, but this did mean she came out with some cracker statements.
“I know that I am but I don’t see myself as that [a celebrity].”
“Celebrity is so easy these days for 5 minutes and you can become a celebrity. I think there is lot more to celebrity then that”.
Unfortunately Mark Bouris pandered to her ego and said “you were practically born one, look at who your mother is”. Really? For fuck sake it is not like she is Suri Cruise.
However he did point out that Polly had raised $100 whereas she had raised nothing.
Deni said she was sweeping, and greeting. “People see me out the front they recognise my face they come in” she said. Considering there were only 120 people who went through the doors that was not a ringing endorsement.
Brad Seymour one of Bouris’s sidekicks said she was putting herself before the charity. Clearly he thought the protecting the brand was bollocks as well.
Lisa Curry concurred with that “She didn’t want to be there, and she was not a team player”. I interpreted this as her saying she was a complete scrag.
However one person who did have to take some responsibility for the dreadful loss was project manager Pauline Hanson. Pauline who is entertaining reality TV is not coming across as being real bright. She certainly is not showing any managerial skills or any innovation.
Jesinta Campbell who is feeling a bit ignored said she had suggested cordoning of a part of the restaurant for corporate clients. However Pauline said she thought they would have no time to sit with them. However in hindsight she said she may have done it differently.
Polly who was under fire for not upselling at the till, thought the people out the front should have explained why we were there, which they disagreed with.
Polly also said out of all her thousands of Facebook fans a few had come down to support her. However she was then criticised that because she has so many “fans” on her Facebook page and she had not leveraged them more.
Seriously how many people on the Facebook pages that you like would you hand over cash for?
It was no surprise that both Deni and Polly were the two that Pauline selected to come back into the board room with her.
Pauline managed to save herself with a plea of “If I run for politics again I want people to say she lasted in Celebrity Apprentice”.
Polly was then told she was fired. So Deni gets to live another day. You have to wonder who has the tougher skin out of Deni and Max Markson. Max when he was watching the girls boardroom scene thought his team had not been as mean as the girls. He had completely forgotten that he had been their boardroom whipping boy.
Do you agree that Deni Hines who may continue to create friction should be safe? Should the bland go before the bitchy?
